You shouldn't have to worry about hungry pachyderms munching on yours. This lateral variegated form (cream with green mid stripes) is called rainbow elephant bush. Like the all-green-foliage version, this softer-looking, hanging basket-perfect form features mahogany red stems and tolerates neglect and dry conditions, if hot sun less so. Great as a hanging plant on your patio or inside a bright room. A tough, hard-to-kill, easy-to-please charmer for your home and patio decor. Grows to 2 to 3 feet high and 3 feet wide. Plant in well-draining soil. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. Provide full sun to bright, indirect light. Flowers in summer, although rarely. Hardy to Zone 10/36 degrees F.
